Born and raised in Cold Lake, Alberta, a small town in Canada, Steve Wandler moved to Kelowna, British Columiba to start YourTechOnline.com in 2000, an online technical support company with a 100% work from home agent model call center (one of the first of its kind in North America). Over the next several years, the company gained notoriety and myriad honors, including 2004's "Technology Business of the Year" by the Business Development Bank of Canada, 2005's "Editor's Choice" by PC Magazine, and 2007's "Small/Medium Business of the Year" by PC Magazine.
Wandler further drove his company to success by appearing in on CBC, NBC and Shaw Television a Canadian broadcaster which later were published into several YouTube.com videos that publicized his company and provided basic tips for the most common PC issues (http://www.youtube.com/user/stevewandler). Additionally, Wandler was featured several times as an industry expert on the CBC (Canadian Broadcast Corporation) and the Martha Stewart's radio show on Sirius Radio.

With the company's growth soaring, YourTechOnline.com was acquired by the Silicon Valley-based Support.com (NASDAQ: sprt).
Wandler is very active in the technology community including the EDC, DFAIT, BCIC Okanagan Science and Technology Council. Wandler is also heading the charge with "metabridge", an Economic Development Commission of Canada initiative creating a connection between Canadian high tech companies and Silicon Valley, with bay area Sr. Executives from HP, AVG, Mitel, RIM and Trend Micro to name a few that attend.

With so many work obligations, it is hard to believe Steve Wandler has time for anything else, yet he has managed to squeeze in plenty of community service over the years, particularly when he was driving the success of YourTechOnline.com. In addition to being a key volunteer for Ironman Canada from 1997 to 2007, Steve Wandler also set up a program that would help African countries obtain better access to technology. To date, his company has provided training and support to companies in Africa that provide network support for hospitals, health care centers, and schools.

Steve Wandler enjoys spending time with his family and playing competitive sports in his leisure time. Particularly fond of hockey, Steve Wandler was even scouted by the Kamloops Blazer WHL hockey team in 1986.

Steve Wandler currently lives in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada with an office in the California Bay Area.
